I collect and store various personal data through the provision of this website and in contact with you as a client. These are all details that relate to you and can directly or indirectly identify you. Here, I inform you about how I handle this data.

Website Provision

The website handguide.me and the associated email account jo@handguide.me are hosted in Switzerland by infomaniak.com. The website runs on the CMS WordPress with Divi, does not use any form of user tracking, and does not set cookies.

To provide a website, data and information from the accessing device are automatically collected and stored in log files with each visit. This includes information about the browser type, operating system, hostname, IP address, access time, referring websites, accessed resources, and transmitted data volume. These data are not stored together with personal data of a specific user, ensuring no identification of individual site visitors.

For font display, the website uses the Google Fonts service and its associated services Gstatic and Google Cloud API. This establishes a connection to Google’s servers and may involve transmitting some of the aforementioned data to its servers outside Switzerland.

Personal Data in Customer Contact

When you book an appointment for a hand analysis via the booking form or email, I collect your name, email address, and phone number for further customer contact. I store this data locally in my customer database and use it to send newsletters to my clients approximately annually, with an opt-out link provided in each email.

For an online hand analysis, you send me images of your hands via email, and for an in-person hand analysis session, we take linoleum handprints at the beginning of the session. I use these for analysis purposes and store them locally for potential future coaching sessions as well as anonymized for training and research purposes. A standardized disposal of this data is not planned but can be requested by you at any time.

If you agree, I can make an audio recording of our session and send it to you afterward with a download link via the service swisstransfer.com. Transmission can also occur through an encrypted service if desired. I store the audio files locally and typically delete them after one year. Earlier deletion can be requested at any time.

Invoice, transfer, and banking data are retained in accordance with legal requirements by me and financial service providers I engage for a minimum of ten years and possibly longer.

I commit to processing and storing your data responsibly and carefully without sharing it with third parties. However, please note that data transmission over the internet and unencrypted communication via email do not guarantee complete data security and could potentially be intercepted by third parties. In case of theft or misuse of data by third parties, no liability claims can be made.

Due to my frequently changing residence and extensive travels, your personal data may also be processed and stored abroad by me. Additionally, domestic and foreign service providers may process your personal data on my behalf under certain circumstances.
